The return of Tiger Woods to the golf game has sparked some kind of renewed interest in the game.
And having already set a pace to stay on within the range of leaders heading into the weekend, all was set for his game in the Hero World Challenge where he was paired with Rickie Fowler, another of the sport’s biggest stars.
However, the game on Saturday saw Fowler narrowly avoid a hazard and opt for an unusual approach.
Fowler who is no 12 on the World Rank list sits nine strokes off pace into the final rounds in the Bahamas.
He made his way to the par-four last, on five under for the day.And for the 18th hole on Saturday, he had to get closer to the water than he probably would have hoped for. (more…)
Fowler has been in the news recently talking about how he supports the comeback delay as announced by Tiger Woods.
He feels that Tiger has made a wise decision to delay his comeback so that he can have more time to get back in shape. Woods has announced his comeback recently at the age of forty which has brought back renewed hope among the fans. He suffered an injury after which he has been off the playing circuits. Last month he announced his intention to make a comeback at Safeway Open. However, at the game he was not happy with his form and withdrew his decision.
Fowler has been able to get success for the US team under the vice captainship of the Woods in the Ryder Cup. He has been fourteen times champion in major events himself. He feels that Woods is right to back away from his comeback decision and do it only when he feels in adequate form.
