Rickie Fowler At Two Of The Lead In Houston Open First Round

After making a good start Rickie Fowler the 2017-’18 campaign has gone quiet for some time. But recently, during Houston Open he has shown signs of recapturing his form of the early season. The most promising and positive one came on Thursday in Humble, Texas, at the Golf Club of Houston. Here Fowler carded a six-under 66, this shot put him within the lead of two strokes in the first round of the Houston Open, which was delayed because of overnight rain.

Fowler said “I did a nice job tee-to-green; really it was great to make some putts and also made some longer ones. On the course there are ample softer greens, and it was really a fun to play there. You could certainly play pretty aggressively even in case you miss the fairway,” Fowler is ranked second in the field in strokes gained/putting. He made amazing three birdie putts from 30 feet, along with carding four other birdies and only one bogey on the round.
