Fowler still stands out

There is a common perception that professional golf players are often pressed in the form of Stepford Wives – brothers of same vanilla like, who gripe alike, swing alike, scowl alike, dress alike and measure their earthly existence in ice cold currency of bogeys and birdies.

And now, there is Rickie Fowler, the young golfer who is scheduled to hit the 1st tee shot at the Hawaii’s season opening Hyundai Tournament of Champions. Rickie Fowler’s Hawaiian preparation for the season opener event has been 3 practice rounds on the famous Plantation Course, as well as taking part in the All-Island X-Games.

Whilst thats not the usual activity for a golfer, it’s fairly normal for Rickie Fowler! He posted pics of him in the X-Games on twitter and was shocked at the response. There’s a pic of Rickie Fowler standing and hiking beneath a waterfall and doing all sorts of other casual things. Fowler said that he posted these things on social networking sites to help connect with his fans, but that people had said he should be out on the course practicing! Fowler refutes the claims, saying that this is his reward for winning in the previous year. Normal people are allowed to come and enjoy the island; just hanging out, and so should he be!

After the succeses of last season, fans could be forgiven for not backing him on the Unibet Betting site, with his odds obviously now much shorter. The days of having a bet online at Rickie winning, and receiving odds in the hundreds-to-one ballpark are now long gone.

This PGA tour is glad to have a young ambassador like Rickie Fowler. With his interesting dress choices, he turns Tour galleries in a moving bouquet of vibrant colors. He is a talented golf player and more importantly he plays the game with proper respect. One of the golf channel analysts recently commented that he is one player who makes the game more interesting, and we’d have to agree!
